A little history of Poppy's.  Poppy's is a family run buisness in Colne (Pendle), Lancashire. We are two sisters and Poppy's roots began a few years ago when our daughters wanted dollshouses.  They were both very specific in their ideas of what a dollshouse should look like.  We could not find any locally, so we had the two houses built, both very different.  We had such fun as a family planning and purchasing and making things for these houses.  We were soon 'hooked' on miniatures.  It was fascinating and that fascination continues.  This is where Poppy's came from; a love of miniatures, in some ways putting dreams and ideas into 'miniature' reality.  We both hope that you enjoy delving into miniatures as much as we have done and hope to continue doing so.  Two sisters working together, with different personalities bring forward two very different view points.  She loves the Halloween range and the Beach range while I enjoy the fantasy food, ice-creams and cakes! 

We specialise in 1/12 scale dollshouses and accessories.  Many of items are handmade by us with the greatest care and attention and are therefore exclusive to us.  'Dressed' items vary widely, from bathrooms with babies, to washtubs of clothes and haberdashery units.  Poppy's food range has expanded over the past year.  Many new items are now being added to our ranges; our Christmas and Halloween ranges are expanding. We have some exciting new witches hats on sale now and a range of lotions and potions planned for 2012. 

Pamela has now decided to take a back seat with Poppys for awhile and Beverley is now managing the business.  Poppys has now been re-named 'Colne Dollhouse Shop'.  This will also incorporate 'The Giftatorium'.  New and vintage, up-cycled and re-cycled items will be added.  We hope to provide lovely and interesting gifts.  The Dollhouse Shop will continue the same as usual with the addition of new products including a small range of kits which will be available nearer to Christmas.

The new 'Colne Dollhouse Shop' website is currently underway, but until then we are continueing to use 'Poppy's site with Pamela's blessing.
